50/50 Sports & Family Medicine Opportunity with Eagle: Eagle is currently recruiting for a full-time physician at Eagle @ West Friendly to work 50% Sports Medicine and 50% Family Medicine initially and then track to 100% Sports Medicine after the practice builds. Additional information about Eagle can be found on our website (www.eaglemds.com) about the West Friendly physicians including Eagle’s Sports Medicine physician Dr. Caroline Allen. Eagle’s family and sports medicine physician have chosen not to do inpatient care (which is covered 24/7 by the Triad Hospitalists), or obstetrics. Sports Medicine candidates will perform ultrasound guided injections and diagnostic ultrasound, do informal interpretation of diagnostic imaging pending radiology review, diagnose and manage concussion and uncomplicated fractures, and have basic DME knowledge. Eagle’s Physical Therapy division, which is next door to the Sports Medicine office at West Friendly complements these services and provides exceptional care and access to Eagle’s patients. Hospital Information: Patients of Eagle family and sports medicine physicians who require hospitalization are admitted and followed by the Triad Hospitalists (board-certified internists). Communications among the family and sports medicine physicians and the hospitalists are excellent. Hospital admissions are at Moses Cone, or Wesley Long both of which are part of the Cone Health System. At the 2 Cone hospitals in Greensboro, there is a comprehensive range of secondary and tertiary level diagnostic and treatment services and 800+ beds. The family medicine residency program at Cone is affiliated with UNC Medical Center - Chapel Hill.
