Job Title: Full-Time Urologist
Location: Atrium Wilkes Regional Medical Center, Wilkesboro, NC
 
Position Overview:
Atrium Wilkes Regional Medical Center in Wilkesboro, NC, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Urologist to join an established team of urologists. This position offers a supportive environment, where you will work alongside 1 full-time and 1 part-time urologist. As a growing facility, we are excited to introduce robotic surgery capabilities in the near future, further enhancing our ability to provide cutting-edge care.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the field of urology, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures.
Conduct routine outpatient visits in a clinic setting (4 days per week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm).
Manage and maintain a busy office practice, including patient consultations, evaluations, and follow-ups.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
Participate in the development and implementation of urological services as the department grows, with robotics coming soon.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Provide surgical interventions as necessary and assist in developing care plans for complex urological conditions.
Be available for on-call rotation and provide hospital consults as required.
Work Schedule:
 
Clinic Days: 4 days per week (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Office Day: 1 day per week
Call Coverage: Shared with other urologists
Robotics capabilities coming soon, enhancing opportunities for advanced surgical procedures.
Required Qualifications:
 
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Urology
Current, unrestricted medical license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain one
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Dedication to patient care and quality improvement
Experience with robotic surgery is a plus (but not required, training will be provided)
