Hospital-employed Hospitalist group seeks Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care experience to join our robust, rapidly growing Hospitalist team. Southeast Health is a 420-bed regional referral and Level II trauma center. We manage our own Hospitalist program. The current practice includes 30 full-time board certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Daily, 12 physicians and a CRNP work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift and 3 physicians and a CRNP provide care during the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift. Average daily census is 15–20 patients per physician provider and 8–10 patients per provider at night. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year Acute Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Practice Highlights:
- Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults
- Admit and co-manage with Intensivist support adult patients in critical care
- 24/7 Pulm/Critical Care support for all CC admissions
- Manage patients in Clinical Decision Unit
- 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of an in-house Radiology physician 24/7
- 12-hour work shifts, 7p-7a
- No call required
- 7 on/7 off rotation
