Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a highly motivated primary care physician to join our esteemed academic faculty practice. As a board-eligible or board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician, you'll have the unique opportunity to establish your own personal clinic while also serving as a preceptor for residents. This role allows for leadership advancement, such as the potential for assuming the position of Associate Program Director or Clinic Director based on your interests and experience. Situated in Fayetteville, with convenient proximity to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, our residency continuity clinic serves as the primary outpatient teaching site for the Cape Fear Valley Internal Medicine Residency Program, a large and thriving program approved for 60 residents. The patient population is diverse, encompassing Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, and surrounding counties. In this full-time salaried position, you'll be exclusively involved in outpatient care. Active participation in clinic leadership meetings is expected. There are abundant opportunities to engage in clinic operations projects, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, deliver didactic teachings on ambulatory topics, serve as an advisor and role model for residents, participate in program clinical competency and program evaluation committees, and contribute to graduate medical education. Collaborating with resident physicians, you'll serve as a preceptor and also have the chance to teach medical students within the clinic setting. Additionally, this position offers possibilities for academic appointments at affiliated medical schools.
