Job Description
Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a medical director to lead our behavioral health team.
Qualified Candidates: •Board certified or board eligible
•Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a practicing psychiatrist
•Minimum of 3 years of medical director or leadership experience
•Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Abou Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services: •Nine bed adolescent and eight bed child psychiatry unit
•Three adult, one geriatric, one child, and one adolescent inpatient unit - totaling 82 beds
•23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
•Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
•Active ECT program
•Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointment possible
