• Opportunity for General Internist in a growing tri county area of 70,000;
• New $57.5 million hospital campus, just off I-64;
• Hospital has 20+ years of positive financial performance.

Join a well established internal medicine/primary care team employed by the Hospital, with emphasis on cardiology, arthritis, diabetes, sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, occupational medicine, and critical care.  Good mix of internal medicine patients.  Substantial geriatric medicine base. Physicians rotate weeks sharing outpatient and inpatient care, overseeing hospitalist program established and coordinated by the group.

As our CEO reports, it's hard to believe that we have concluded our fourth year at our new campus.  Our facility continues to work well for patient care, and patients express satisfaction with the care they receive.  A significant achievement in 2011 was the establishment of a new affiliation agreement with Louisville's Norton Healthcare, providing a framework for the joint development of new services as well as telemedicine capabilities to enhance the timeliness and depth of clinical consultation.  Due to economic conditions, we join other hospitals in reductions in collectible revenue and unprecedented increases in charity care, bad debt, as well as Medicare and Medicaid write-offs.  After operating with positive margins for most of the past 25 years, we operated with a positive cash flow of about $4.5M in 2011, all while paying down our long term debt, from $28M to $10M.  With the registration of over 111,000 patients in 2011 and growth in many services, we believe that we're positioned to continue to meet our community's needs well into the future.

Corydon, population 10,000 including the 2-mile fringe and Indiana’s First State Capital, is a vibrant community nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana in the midst of outdoor recreational opportunities, good housing, choice property, excellent school systems, and a growing population base indicative of strong practice potential   all just 25 minutes from the large city amenities and medical support resources of Louisville, KY and 35 minutes from its international airport.
