Job Description

We are currently looking for private practice oriented FP or IM Physicians who want to build a solid patient base and achieve significant compensation levels by being dedicated to hard work, self-promotion and great customer service.

We are in a growing suburban area of greater Nashville and there is plenty of patient base opportunity out there for an achiever.

In the first year the compensation will be a guaranteed amount generally based on the MGMA national standards for an average compensation for that type physician and their experience level. $175 to $185K is a typical range. Although we are not affiliated with HCA, we do partner with the local HCA hospital via an income guarantee contract to the Physician to help defray the start-up costs to the Practice. The HCA hospital has historically been willing to provide the Physician with relocation costs, a sign-on bonus, and, if it’s an important factor to a new physician in the recruiting process, has been able to offer some modest amount of assistance with student loans. This HCA “financial assistance” is treated like loans to the physician and our practice, with a 3 year forgiveness period after the initial income guarantee year. Basically, if the physician stays in the service area for 3 or more years there is no payback back on these “loans”, except the 1099 tax consequences for the money going directly to the physician.

After the first year income guarantee the physician compensation changes to a production based program. The production compensation potential for a physician here is significantly above a “normal market salary” , but it is completely dependant on the number of patients the physician sees each day, whether they are doing any hospital work, and the other mechanisms to generate charges, including utilizing our in-house ancillaries effectively, and following Quality protocols.

There is a huge demand for Spanish speaking and Female FP physicians in this service area so they would certainly have an advantage.

After the Physician builds a stable, financially viable practice and is earning above $175K in annual compensation, and it is mutually agreed to, the physician will be offered an ownership position at no investment cost as an incentive to stay in the Practice. There is no time constraint on when this will occur except it is not available until after the end of the first year income guarantee.

Current Call situation: All physicians must participate in “every 6” after hours call. All but one of the docs currently admits their own patients but it is a physician preference whether to do this or to use hospitalists for their own patients.
