Passavant is a fully-accredited, not-for-profit community hospital. We offer a wide range of services, except open heart and neurosurgery. Passavant is very sound financially, and we are afforded a great deal of community support, which is is evidenced by over 200 volunteers, a substantial endowment fund, and farmland holdings. Passavant has many state-of-the-art diagnostic services, plus a new Ambulatory Surgery unit that opened in 2006. An enlarged Emergency Department is expected to open in June 2010.

The city of Jacksonville is enhanced by two, four-year liberal arts colleges, four state institutions, a Symphony, an art gallery, a YMCA, and a solid industrial base. Jacksonville offers a mix of housing options, including a historic homes district. It's a family-oriented community with an excellent school system and an emphasis on activities for children.
